Multi-Function Button Frustration : Pioneer Premier DEH-P510UB iPod AM/FM/MP3/WMA/AAC Receiver
I bought this unit because I have always been happy with Pioneer. Amazon had a good price for this unit. I only use the XM sat feature of this radio and it works fine. The radio puts out really good sound even without an external amp. The switches work ok, I do miss the old fashioned buttons, but I understand the whole streamlined look. The volume is easy to control with the knob but sometimes trying to change stations can be a problem with the knob. I tried a couple of CDs and they worked. I have a Zune and plugged that in, it works but you can't control it through the radio, only an Ipod can be controlled through the radio. The unit has a 3.5mm jack on the front which allows me to also hook up my Droid and stream internet radio or use I can put my phone on "Speaker" mode and now my car's speakers act as my Droid's speaker. I thought this is a pretty cool feature, especially since I didn't install the bluetooth adapter. For the price & my needs, I would buy this unit again.
